What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Associate, you will work collaboratively with a diverse team including accountants, business valuators, economists, lawyers, and data specialists. You will attend client meetings, collaborate on developing appropriate damage quantification or investigation methodology, build financial models, conduct financial analyses, and participate in engagements for a wide range of clients and industries. You will also contribute to project planning and reporting that fully satisfies clients and delivers project profitability.Â
Your role will also consist of staying up to date on the firm’s best practices, through Deloitte- and self-led learning, and applying these practices to all the files you will be working on. This opportunity will allow you to develop your expertise as a specialist in forensic accounting and investigation as well as your reputation as a business advisor while you contribute to the growth and development of the practice.
About the team
Deloitte’s team of Forensic accounting and investigative professionals specialize in a wide range of damage quantification and investigative engagements, and deliver clear, logical analyses, opinions and reports. We apply a variety of quantitative and qualitative techniques to calculate lost profits or economic losses in various cases of breach of contract, malpractice and other fault, abuse, bodily injury or fraud.Â

We investigate financial fraud and other irregularities, or breaches of laws, regulations or contractual agreements. We conduct and assist in the conduct of interviews and interrogations of witnesses and suspects, the establishment of facts and circumstances as well as the preparation of summaries of evidence and expert or investigation reports.

Our team is made up of accountants, financial analysts, specialists in business valuation, lawyers, data specialists, all of whom have considerable experience in forensic accounting and investigation.Â
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with:Â
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field;
- Professional accounting designation preferred (CPA);
- Additional specialization recommended (e.g. CBV, CFE, CFF) or interest in starting a program in order to obtain one of these designation;
- Relevant forensic accounting experience will be considered;
- High level of proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- Experience in consulting or providing external advisory services;
- Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, bilingualism in French and English is required for this position in Quebec;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, provide accurate analyses, and suggest appropriate solutions;
- Proven analytical skills and problem solving with strong attention to detail;
- Thoroughness, rigour, flexibility, humility, integrity and professionalism.
