The School of Chemistry at the University of Lincoln has quickly established a strong position by developing an ambitious research agenda alongside Employer-Engaged STEM taught programmes. We are seeking to substantially enhance our position across key strategic areas of Analytical Chemistry and Forensic Science, and further its track record in the success of its professional practice training for student employability. Substantial investment has been realised in modern research and teaching facilities and associated specialist support has created a dynamic and modern working environment for the School.
For this role, we are targeting individuals with the ability to develop our programmes in analytical chemistry and forensic science and provide leadership for post-graduate programmes in analytical science, forensic science and/or forensic toxicology. Research in the School promotes inter-disciplinarity and it is anticipated that this role-holder will align with our research groups in Innovative Analytical Methodologies (e.g. analytical and forensic methods, sensors, 2D- and 3D-imaging, applied spectroscopy) and/or the Chemistry-Biology interface (e.g. environmental and green chemistry, drug discovery and development, forensic bioanalysis and toxicology, omic sciences). The role is offered under Teaching and Research, or Teaching, Scholarship and Professional Practice profiles.
A commitment to working within multidisciplinary teams and an enthusiasm for developing research- and practice-integrated teaching will be strong attributes in the successful candidates.
The University of Lincoln is a forward-thinking, ambitious institution and you will be working in the heart of a thriving, beautiful, safe and friendly city. The School provides a stimulating environment for academic development, and is based in high quality, newly developed facilities.
