We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic officer to take on the role of PC Forensic Collision Investigator within the Operational Support Department.

It is essential that all applicants have proven experience in collision investigation and possess at least a University Certificate of Professional Development in Forensic Collison Investigation.

​The successful applicant will be required to:

Be currently practicing as a Forensic Collision Investigator with a maintained CPD record.
Must have proven competency in order to attend collision scenes without the need for supervision.
Must be willing to undertake additional qualifications (i.e. BSc degree on a part time basis, a portion of which will be done in the candidates own time) in order to maintain competency as required by forthcoming ISO accreditation.
Must be willing to work as part of a small team, on a set shift pattern with a regular on-call requirement.
Demonstrate fairness, respect for all and an understanding of the importance of diversity.
Be highly motivated, professional and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
Have an ability to resolve difficult problems in pressurised situations.
Have an aptitude for learning, retaining such information and putting that into operational practise.
 

Key Skills & Experience Required

Be a serving officer in a recognised Home Office police force at the rank of Constable.
Hold a UCPD in Forensic Collision.
Hold a full current UK (manual) driving licence and be an authorised standard police driver or able to undertake and pass this training.
The selection process will comprise of the following stages. Please note: each stage must be passed before a conditional offer can be made:

Stage 1 – Written application of their suitability against the person spec/job description – April/May 2021
Stage 2 – CVF based interviews – w/com 24th May 2021
