Are you a determined and caring Clinical Psychologist with forensic experience?
A clinical/counselling psychologist is needed in a specialist Band 8a low secure forensic service in Thatcham, Berkshire, for an NHS trust and for an Initial 3 -months working part-time hours each week.
The trust provides services for male and female patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) who require care in conditions of medium and low security. Our service users, many of whom have forensic histories, require long-term treatment and rehabilitation and present with multiple problems, challenging and high-risk behaviour and complex care needs. The post holder will manage their own caseload, which will involve working with complex service users. The post holder will be an integral part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team on the new ward. Providing both long & short-term work, which includes being able to undertake clinical assessments to determine clinical needs & treatment plans.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a relevant qualification at the doctorate level
- Be HCPC Registered
- Have experience working within a similar setting
- Have strong communication and listening skills
