About the role

We seek a brilliant, friendly, ambitious and inspirational Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (depending on experience) to join the Department of Criminology, Policing and Forensic Science.

The Forensic Science/Investigation team deliver two very successful undergraduate courses – BSc (Hons) Forensic Science and BSc (Hons) Forensic Investigation, and two very successful postgraduate courses – MSc Forensic Science and MSc Digital Forensic Investigation, as well as having a healthy cohort of postgraduate researchers. The team are looking to increase the level of teaching and research in digital forensics.

We would, therefore, be keen to hear from people with a forward-thinking vision of the future of Forensics in a digital context. Previous experience of forensic investigation, with an emphasis on digital evidence recovery and analysis, is essential. The role will give an opportunity to deliver theoretical and practical teaching in your area of specialism, we would particularly encourage applications from those who have background knowledge and experience of the acquisition and processing of digital evidence, mobile forensics / device analysis, digital forensics examination tools, and/or audio/video/image analysis.

The successful applicant will work well within a team, will possess excellent communication skills and be expected to work towards a teaching qualification.
