Forensic Structural Engineer – Remote FL

LVI has partnered with a reputable multi-disciplinary engineering firm with a huge presence across the US and a strong foothold on the southeast. Their team of dedicated, specialist engineers collaborate between disciplines to complete a range of complex projects across an array of structure types, including commercial, residential, and industrial properties. They are looking from a technical lead to carry out forensic structural investigations, root cause analyses, large-loss investigations and structural evaluations for damage related to storm events, water intrusion, vehicle impacts, product failures, design defects, and construction defects. They are renowned for their company culture and the quality of work they deliver to an array of clients in the public, private and commercial sectors. They are looking for senior engineers, with management experience, to build and develop and office around.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting forensic investigations to diagnose building performance issues

  • Analyzing failures to determine root cause and extent of damages

  • Developing repair and rehabilitation designs for damaged structures

  • Providing expert opinions and testimony

  • Mentoring junior engineers and technicians

  • Building and maintaining client relationships

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering

  • PE license holder

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience in providing litigation support
