Regulatory Compliance Analyst

Community Behavioral Health.

Position Overview:

The Compliance Analyst assists the Community Behavioral Health (CBH) Manager of Compliance and Director of Internal Compliance and Risk Management with the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the CBH Compliance Program. They will work to ensure the organization complies with regulatory requirements and ethical standards, as well as contractual obligations, and that company policies and procedures reflect applicable regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure CBH implements and maintains a compliance program comprised of the seven elements of an effective compliance program.
  • Work with management to develop solutions and strategies for practices that are out of compliance with federal, state, or local laws.
  • Monitor department policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Provide updates to team members and management when regulations change.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring regulatory issues.
  • Develop and maintain a repository for external audit submissions and reports.
  • Prepare reports for Management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Behavioral Health, Public Health, Business or related Healthcare field
  • License/Certification: CHC or other Compliance Certification required or obtained within six months of accepting the position.
  • Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct experience working in healthcare or a managed care environment, experience working with Medicaid programs preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Understanding of managed care and behavioral healthcare delivery systems and services
    • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
    • Excellent research, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines as well as quality expectations
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word, and Smartsheet
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to prepare and summarize reports in a comprehensive and concise manner
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Compliant with HIPAA regulations
