The Business Control Manager / AML Specialist will form part of the first line of defense for this Wealth Management firm, working closely with the UK Wealth Management CEO.
The Business Control Manager / AML Specialist will contribute in reinforcing AML standards at front office level – Wealth Managers / Investment Managers, performing quality control on key Risks identified at front office level. Structure & manage policy & procedures implementation.
The Business Control Manager / AML Specialist will be responsible for executing all the Wealth Management strategic initiatives aiming to support business growth, providing analytical support regarding AML & Client Business Risk.
will have oversight of Front Office AML, Risk framework implementation and provide day to day risk and compliance guidance to the Front office
Implement AML & Risk standards in accordance with framework delivered by 2nd LoD services, and raise critical issues & blockers with solution-oriented mindset
Working closely with the Wealth Management business CEO – active participation at the relevant Committee on behalf of the Front-office.
The Business Control Manager / AML Specialist role will provide AML support for account opening (documentation etc…)for PEP and high and low risk HNW clients and Review of account openings.
Structure, manage policies & procedures owned by front-office and monitor the good application of AML and Client Onboarding policies through quality controls
The Business Control Manager / AML Specialist will monitor implementation of new products & services within the Wealth Management firm.
Provide regular reporting to Head of the Branch (CEO) and put in place reporting to follow Business, AML, Risk initiative.
3-5 years experience in a Business Risk / AML / Client Onboarding / Business Assurance / Quality Assurance role within Wealth Management / Investment Management or Private Banking.
AML Experience is essential – a knowledge of Account Opening and the necessary controls within Wealth Management / Private Banking.
Solid understanding of front-line processes (account openings, client documentation, investment processes, etc) and related regulatory requirements (AML, tax, Compliance, etc.).
Ability to work under pressure and able to prioritize.
Strong collaboration, ability to share information, give feedback.
