At Ethics Administration, we strive to achieve compliance by governmental officials, public employees, candidates, and lobbyist, and provide public access to disclosed information. 
   
 Our mission is to provide staff support for the Louisiana Board of Ethics by administering and enforcing Louisiana’s conflicts of interest legislation, campaign finance disclosure requirements, and lobbyist disclosure laws and registration. 
   
  The Compliance Investigator 3-4/A will:

  • Conduct investigations ordered by the Louisiana Board of Ethics under the direction of the Investigation Division Director, concerning potential violations of the provisions of the Code of Governmental Ethics, the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act and Lobbying Disclosure Laws
  • Assist the trial attorneys in preparation for public hearings
  • Research issues and laws that are the subject of investigations
  • Provide written reports in connection with reporting violations 

This position is part of a Career Progression Group and is eligible for advancement to the Compliance Investigator 4A level. Applicants must have Civil Service test scores for 8100-Professional Level Exam in order to be considered for this vacancy unless exempted by Civil Service rule or policy. If you do not have a score prior to applying to this posting, it may result in your application not being considered.

The position may be filled by detail to special duty, promotion, or probational appointment (probation in lieu of promotion). Selected candidate may be required to serve a probational appointment of up to two years. 
 
Preference may be given to applicants with experience at Louisiana Board of Ethics.
