Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo (CMHIP) is a 449-bed hospital that provides inpatient behavioral health services for adults, adolescents and geriatric patients. CMHIP is a forensic hospital that serves individuals with pending criminal charges who require evaluations of competency, individuals who have been found by a court to be incompetent to proceed (restoration treatment) and individuals found to be not guilty by reason of insanity. Â The hospital is divided into four specific programs, with multiple units in each program, to meet the needs of individual patients. Â There are several divisions, within the Psychology Department, to support the treatment of patients, such as evaluation and assessment, consultation, education, and specialized treatment. Â Â
